In Service Hospital Records
On return from Korea in 66 I was on leave when I developed a severe heart condition, went to a private Dr. and he advised I get to the nearest Military Hospital as soon as possible. Went to Madigan at Ft. Lewis, spent 90 days there - Long story shortened: my file at the records center did not contain my hospital records when I tried to get them, first it was the "fire", then after two more attempts I asked them to look under the Hospital name (Madigan) and low and behold my records magically appeared in the mail about 60 days later and supported my claim. If you were
in a Military hospital, check that out for missing records, they may not be in your file but in a file in that hospitals records
(all of which are sent to St. Louis after a number of years. [ Back ]
