How to Recommend A Veteran-Friendly Organization or Become One                                                       Only recommend an organization that you have first-hand knowledge about.  For example, if you have recently visited a local restaurant in your area and they honored you or a veteran with a discount, that organization would be considered Veteran-Friendly.  Also, you want to recommend organizations that provide an ongoing campaign that veterans can use now and in the future.                                                    Not all organizations will be approved.                                            Example Recommendation:      Cafe Pita House 1001 Main St. Los Angeles, CA 90210 Telephone:  310-864-1000 Discount offered:  All veterans get 10% off all meals.  On weekends only, veterans and a guest are honored with a 10% discount on breakfast.
