VA Compensation
         
I am a Vietnam vet.  Have now been fighting the VA system for 4 1/2 years, receiving 70 percent with 4 more claims still open. Your on your own with this fight unless you want to hire an attorney. You can have 3 doctors say you have ptsd and meet the requirements under DSM IV, but if the compensation doctor they send you too that you spend 20 minutes with says no they deny you. Also, try and get VA records from 40 years ago which will prove your claims.  The system is unfair, your own your own but keep fighting.
