FAQS 

 

Q:  Do I need to prove that I am married to a veteran?

A:  No.  Your Veteran-Hero will sponsor you as a spouse.  We do not need a marriage certificate or any documentation showing your relationship to your Sponsor.

 

Q:  Does my spouse (Veteran-Hero) need a Veteran ID Card for me to get a Veteran Dependent Card?

A:  Yes.  Only those veterans who are current Veteran ID Cardholders are allowed to sponsor a dependent.

 

Q:  Can I use my Veteran Dependent Card at retail businesses in the public sector?

A:  No.  The Veteran Dependent Card is for use on USVCP only.

 

Q:  Do I have to pay an annual membership fee?

A:  No.  Cost of the Veteran Dependent Card is a one-time purchase that never expires.

 

Q:  How do I get my picture to you?

A:  The best way to send your picture is to email it to admin@veteranprograms.com.  Or, you may mail your picture to:

Note:  Your picture will be returned to you with your Veteran Dependent Card.  Send only pictures that fit inside a standard size 10 envelope. 

 

Q:  What file format should I use for my digital picture?

A:  Send your picture as a .jpeg, .jpg, or .gif.  Any other format will be rejected by our software.

 

Q:  If I send a picture by mail, should I send it certified?

A:  Do not send mail that requires a signature.  All mail sent needing a signature will be sent back to the sender.  Send all mail regular ground USPS.

 

Q:  What size picture should I send for my Veteran Dependent Card?

A:  Send picture that will fit inside a standard size 10 envelope.  Any picture larger than those that can fit inside a standard size 10 envelope will not be returned.

 

Q:  Will I get my picture back?

A:  All pictures are returned with your new Veteran Dependent Card.

 

Q:  Do I have to be married to a veteran to get a Veteran Dependent Card?

A:  No.  A Veteran ID Cardholder may sponsor his/her spouse, child, sibling, or any person the veteran believes to be his dependent.

 

Q:  What is the charge of the Veteran Dependent Card?

A:  The Veteran Dependent Card is a one time fee of $9.95.

 

Q:  What is the cost of a replacement Veteran Dependent Card?

A:  If you need to replace or modify your Veteran Dependent Card within 30 days from the purchase date, a replacement card is free of charge.  After 30 days, you will have to pay full price to get a new Veteran Dependent Card.
