Healing the Damage of Post-Traumatic Stress: A Community Service
Project
In this community service project and pilot study,
a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner (HTCP) will use a hands-on subtle energy therapy protocol to help heal the damage of
post-traumatic stress in 20 selected combat veterans. The project will include the following:
- Participants will commit to ten weekly sessions
of hands-on healing treatment (light touch, no removal of clothing). Visits will last approximately 30 minutes each.
- Screening checklists will be completed by each
participant prior to beginning treatment, after five weekly sessions, and after ten weekly sessions.
- Participants who complete the ten weekly sessions
and checklists will receive 2 months of free weekly sessions for themselves or a family member.
All data collected on participants will be kept confidential.
This is an independent project with no collaboration, approval, sharing
of information, or funding from any other source. Collective findings/outcomes may be published without any identifying information
of participants.
When: Beginning
the first week of February 2014. Enrollment will be open until 20 participants have been selected.
Selection of Participants: A short application must be completed by potential
