Joined the Navy August 1960. Basic training at Navel Training Center, Great Lakes, ILL. Served aboard the USS Shangri-La (CVA-38)Home Port--Mayport, Fla. ll-10-1960 thru 01-02-1962. Went aboard the USS Valley Forge (LPH-8) 01-1962. 10-21-1962 thru 01-14-1963 Ryukyus General Hospital, Okinawa. U.S. Naval Air Facility Naha, Okinawa 01-14-1963 to USS Valley Forge thru 10-31-1963 and Released from Active Duty.
