Montgomery County RII  High School, 1981 - 1985.   I played football and was an All-Conference and All-District Running Back and Defensive Back my Senior year, I also ran track and lifted on the weightlifting team, earning numerous medals in both sports.

 

College

I went to Ranken Technical College from 2003-2005 for Controls Sytems.

 

Military Training

I joined the Marine Corps out of high school in 1985 and went to boot camp at United States Marine Corps Recruit Training Depot San Diego, Ca.

First Duty Station

My first duty station after MOS school was 3rd Battalion, 11th Marines at Las Pulgas, Camp Pendleton, California. I was an 0844 and worked as an Artillery Surveyor.

 

Second Duty Station 

I joined Echo Battery 2nd Battalion, 12th Marines in January of 1989 as a Fire Direction Controlmen for Artillery, and went to Okinawa, Japan, and Pohang, South Korea with them. I participated in Mountain Warfare training with the ROK Marines while in Korea. 

 

Third Duty Station

Upon returning to the U.S. with Echo Battery in late 1989, we were attatched to 3rd Battalion, 11th Marines. Our Battalion was transferred to 29 Palms, California. From there we went to participate in Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf from August 1990-March 1991.
