Veteran States VA Healthcare System Has Failed By Richard Barwick Posted By Nicole Sanders February 1, 2016
Richard Barwick is one of the brave men and women who joined
the military to fight for our freedom. He defended our rights and freedoms from enemies who wanted to take it away from us.
Now as a veteran who resides in Miami, Florida and he claims the VA is taking away the very rights and freedoms he fought
for. They are his enemy. Barwick suffers from poor eye sight and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He needs medical attention
and new glasses so on November 16, 2015 he visited the VA and they told him it would take 4-5 years before they made a decision
on his pending claim. 4-5 years? That is unacceptable. In September of this year a new report showed 307,000 veterans died
while waiting for assistance. Barwick refuses to be a statistic and insists he will fight to get medical attention. He said:
I will not be delayed for what’s rightfully mine, I will fight and win this battle. He continued to say: I know what
it’s like to be treated as a 2nd class citizen, in my case, ZERO CLASS. I have heard many horror stories coming out
of the VA and no stories that are positive. When will it be reformed? When will we take care of Richard Barwick and all of
the other deserving veterans who need care now? That is a question our elected officials need not only to answer with promises
but to fix.
