Free Meal
Deans Seafood Grill and Bar: On November 11, 2015, veterans
and active or retired military personnel receive a free meal with the purchase of another entree. Drink and tip not included.
Military or Veteran ID required. Valid only for dine-in.
Free Chicken Tenders
Veterans and active duty military in uniform or with military ID or Veteran ID receive three free chicken tenders or a free sandwich on November 11, 2015, at participating PDQ restaurants.
Grocery Discount
On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, Publix will offer
a 10% discount to Veteran’s, Military Personnel and their families. You will need to show your military ID or Veteran ID. The discount cannot be used on prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, gift cards, Ticketmaster, lottery tickets, postage stamps,
and money services.
Free Rides
Veterans and active duty personnel
will be able to ride on CDTA buses free on Veterans Day, next Wednesday, November 11, 2015. The Capital District Transportation
Authority says any veteran or active military personnel who show their military identification
card can ride for free on Veterans Day. This includes all fixed-route and STAR paratransit service. CDTA will operate on a
regular service schedule on Veterans Day. On other days, veterans who receive disability benefits are eligible to ride CDTA
buses for half fare by showing their Veteran ID card, Medicare card or half-fare ID card.
Free Tea & Coffee
Peet’s Coffee & Tea will be serving complimentary drip
coffee and tea to all armed service veterans on Veteran’s Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at both Petaluma locations.
The east side shop is located in the Washington Square shopping center, 351 S. McDowell Blvd. The downtown coffee shop is
located at 5 Petaluma Blvd. South. Veteran ID Card or DD Form 214 required.
Discounted Acupuncture
Acupuncture Treatments for Veterans: In honor of Veterans Day, Jersey Community Acupuncture, 117 Broad St. is offering
all veterans and active duty personnel $10 acupuncture treatments during the month of November 2015. The clinic offers
afternoon, evening and weekend hours. Appointments may be booked by calling 908-237-1076. Hours are 1:30 to 6:30
p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday; and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Veterans and active
duty personnel must show proof of service.
Free Entree
On Wednesday, November 11, 2015, veterans and active duty military who dine-in in uniform
or show proof of service at Quaker Steak and Lube, 561 Route 1, Edison, will receive a free entrée. Guests can choose from a select menu including
signature wings, 12-pack of breaded boneless wings, the full lineup of beefed-up steakburgers, all chicken sandwiches and
wraps and the QS&L Boneless Wing Salad. The Lube also offers a 20 percent discount to active and retired military personnel
