Merchants are giving back in record numbers this year.  Estimates seem to indicate that more than 100,000 businesses will be giving veterans and active duty troops free meals, vacations, and an assortment of other services...all free of charge.  See list below.  List is updated frequently.

     

 

Pechanga Casino

Active duty servicemembers with ID may experience lunch or dinner for free at the Pechanga Buffet, which runs from 11:00a.m. to 10:00p.m. on Monday, November 11. Veterans or active military must show ID consisting of their photo military ID card, Veteran ID card, Veterans organization card (VFW, American Legion, etc.), discharge papers, DD214 or other Veterans ID. Freebie In St. Louis, MO Area

1. Hair Saloon For Men is providing free haircuts to American War Veterans and active duty military personnel on Nov. 11, at its 13 St. Louis area locations. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Appointments and walk-ins for the free haircuts are welcome.

     

2. Ameristar casinos in Kansas City and St. Charles, along with River City Casino in St. Louis, are offering a free lunch or dinner buffet November 11, 2013, to people with a Veteran ID Card or valid military ID. More info:

Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City, Horizons Buffet, Complimentary lunch or dinner (11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.) - Must present Veteran ID Card or Military Identification card or VA card; 816-414-7000.

Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles, Landmark Buffet, Complimentary lunch or dinner, 10 a.m. o 8 p.m.; -- Must present Veteran ID Card or Military Identification card, VA card or DD214 form; 636-949-7777.

River City Casino & Hotel St. Louis, The Great Food Exposition, Complimentary lunch or dinner, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. -- Must have Veteran ID Card or Military Identification card or VA card, 314-388-7777.

     

3. Lumière Place Casino & Hotels will honor veterans and active duty military with complimentary meals on Veterans Day, November 11, 2013, at The Kitchen Buffet and Bistro, 999 North 2nd Street, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 to 9 p.m. A Veteran ID Card or valid military ID should be presented to the buffet cashier to qualify for the complimentary meal; one per person, gratuity not included. Complimentary meal valid for veteran only; companion meals at full price.

     

4. Free haircuts for veterans at Great Clips. On Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2013, military members can come in for a free haircut, or pick up a free haircut card to use at a later date. Bring proof of service. Plus, customers who come in for a haircut at any Great Clips salon on Veterans Day, will receive a free haircut card to give to an active/inactive/retired military member of any branch, including the National Guard. Limit one card per customer. The free haircut cards are redeemable by veterans at any U.S. Great Clips from Nov. 11 through Dec. 31, 2013 with proof of service or Veteran ID Card. The promotion applies to veterans only. (Note: After Nov. 11, veterans must have a free haircut card to get the free haircut.)
