Veterans Day Freebies

Merchants are giving back in record numbers this year.  Estimates seem to indicate that more than 100,000 businesses will be giving veterans and active duty troops free meals, vacations, and an assortment of other services...all free of charge.  See list below.  List is updated frequently.

     


    

Texas Roadhouse restaurant in invites veterans and active members of the United States military to enjoy a FREE lunch on Monday, November 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Every Texas Roadhouse location across the country will participate in the free lunch event to show our appreciation for the men and women of our armed forces, and honor them for serving our country. Guests must show proof of service such as military or VA card, or discharge papers, or Veteran ID Card. Free meal for military personnel only; free meal offer does not include spouses or other family members.

    

Shoney's offer of a free All-American Burger to veterans and active duty military service members is available on Monday, November 11, 2013, at participating restaurants while supplies last. There is a limit of one per day per military service member and the offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offers. Shoney's military guests will need to provide proof of military service. Offer is valid for Dine-in only and beverage, tax and gratuity are not included.

 

Chili's is offering a free entree (from a limited menu) to veterans and active-duty military November 11, 2013. Proof of military service and Veteran ID Card required. 

 

Max & Erma's will be honoring veterans and active military personnel by giving out a free Best Cheeseburger in America combo. Dine-in only, must show Veteran ID Card. Participating restaurants only. 

 

Little Caesars Pizza will be giving a free order of Crazy Bread to veterans and active duty military who show proper ID on Nov. 11, 2013. 

 

Krispy Kreme will give a free doughnut and coffee to veterans and active military in uniform or with ID on Nov. 11.  Veterans must have Veteran ID Card or DD Form 214 as proof of service. 

 

West Virginia University will be honoring the sacrifice of veterans with the annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast on November 11, 2013, at 8-9:30 a.m. in The Erickson Alumni Center.

 

Opossum Creek Retreat is giving 2 free nights in any of their cabins to veterans during Veterans Day weekend. The offer is available to any veteran for Nov. 8 and 9 or Nov. 10 and 11 until the cabins are all booked. To take advantage of the offer or for more information, veterans can contact OCR at (888) 488-4836.  Must have valid Veteran ID Card or proof of military service.

    

Free PTSD Treatment

As a way to say Thank You and honor the patriots who have made great sacrifices for us all and for our country, beginning November 11, 2013 and ending November 22, 2013, Dr. Margaret Mertens would like to offer FREE treatment for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder to those who have served our country, past and present. Appointments will be scheduled for the week of November 18-22.
