Veterans Day Freebies

Merchants are giving back in record numbers this year.  Estimates seem to indicate that more than 100,000 businesses will be giving veterans and active duty troops free meals, vacations, and an assortment of other services...all free of charge.  See list below.  List is updated frequently.

     


    

Bob Evans Free Meal

Veterans and active military personnel will receive free all-you-can-eat hotcakes at Bob Evans Farms restaurants on Veterans Day, November 11, 2013.

Guests must provide proof of service in the form of a Veteran ID Card, including: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) for active duty servicemembers, or wearing uniform or veterans organization card (i.e., American Legion and VFW).

 

Free Meal

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina® is offering a free “Create Your Own Combo” meal Monday, November 11, 2013, to all veterans and active duty military. To receive the free meal, guests will need to provide proof of military service, which includes a U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, Veteran ID Card, DD214, Citation or Commendation.

The offer is valid for dine-in only, limit one dinner per veteran or active duty military. Beverages, desserts and gratuity aren’t included.

Champps

Champps Americana will serve free burgers to veterans and active-duty military personnel on Veterans Day.

“This is our third year of saying ‘Thank You’ to veterans and troops on Veterans Day,” Ryan Zink, chief operating officer for Champps Entertainment, said in a news release.

Champps Victor, 819 Eastview Drive, will serve the meals all day, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The restaurant will offer a choice of one of seven burgers, all with waffle fries. Guests will need to provide proof of military service, which include U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, Veteran ID Card, DD214, Citation or Commendation or wearing a uniform.

Offer is valid for dine-in only, limit one burger per veteran or active duty military member. Beverages and gratuity are not included.

 

Seneca Casinos

This Veterans Day, for active and retired members of the military, all three Seneca Casinos in Western New York will offer rewards in honor of their services. All those with a valid military or Veteran ID Card may stop by any property Monday, Nov. 11, to receive $10 in free slot play. In addition, the two casino/hotel resorts in Niagara Falls and Salamanca will offer those same individuals a buy-one, get-one free offer at the buffet.
