Veterans Day Freebies

Merchants are giving back in record numbers this year.  Estimates seem to indicate that more than 100,000 businesses will be giving veterans and active duty troops free meals, vacations, and an assortment of other services...all free of charge.  See list below.  List is updated frequently.

     


 

Legoland

 

Free admission for veterans every day through November 17, 2013. There is also discounted ticket prices for up to six accompanying guests.  Must present Veteran ID Card or other forms of military service.

      

Florida Aquarium

Two free admission for veterans, active-duty military, drilling reservists or National Guardsman. Also, up to four family members can get half-price admission.  Veterans must show proper ID.

 

IKEA

Free Entree for Veterans November 9-11, 2013. Valid for active, reserve or retired service members.  Veterans must show valid Veteran ID Card.

 

Hooters

Free meal (up to $10.99 value) to veterans and active-duty military November 11, 2013, with proper identification.  Veterans required to show Veteran ID Card, VA Card, or Veteran Organization Card, while active duty military must show military ID. 

 

Lee Roy Selmon's

Offering a free appetizer to all U.S. Veterans and active U.S. military members with a minimum $10 purchase.  Proper identification required.

     

Hair Saloon For Men

Is providing free haircuts to American War Veterans and active duty military personnel on November 11, 2013, at its 13 St. Louis area locations. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Appointments and walk-ins for the free haircuts are welcome. Veteran ID Card and military ID required.

     

Lumière Place Casino & Hotels

Will honor veterans and active duty military with complimentary meals on Veterans Day, November 11, 2013 at The Kitchen Buffet and Bistro, 999 North 2nd Street, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 to 9 p.m. A Veteran ID Card or valid military ID should be presented to the buffet cashier to qualify for the complimentary meal; one per person, gratuity not included. Complimentary meal valid for veteran only; companion meals at full price.
