VA Claim

I have been 5 years waiting and VSO says VA won’t look at my claim again for 3 to 4 years.  So I figure the only way to win a claim is to die then they won't have to pay you so I will just keep on taking my 15+ pills a day so I can win my claim.  Funny a soldier has seconds to make life and death decisions that could cause an international incident or war if or be charged with murder or other crimes if his decision is wrong but the VA system can’t make a decision in a lifetime.  So hope all you guys and gals the best on your claim hopefully you will live long enough to get a decision but I am too old and sick so I don't figure on living long enough to ever see mine.

VA Ex

All the personnel who helping me with my case, all, all referred to written policy and stated their hands were tied due to policy and workload wait. As I was on the brink of becoming homeless, Navy Relief was the only entity that helped me get through the ruff times. They did not hesitate nor discriminate. All VA Approved groups had very strict requirements and non helpful. All state entities (SNAP, etc.) were first to shut their doors. No job, over 6 surgeries, no cell phone, had to file Bankruptcy, spouse not able to find employment, all veteran groups offering help, became DEADENDS AND UN-HELPFULL. Yet they still get their funding, have their staff to get paid, and we were not qualified. Almost homeless before receiving 100% VA Disability, former Marine had a home to rent that allowed us to rent w/out deposit. No address, no cell phone, no internet access, the VA drops you out of the system and you don't exist. We were lucky to have made it through the storm, but what about those that do not? Illegals get more benefits, free cell phones, home loans, SNAP, Housing Vouchers, grants etc. Veterans still end up at the back of the line. Many VA Reps did all they could but the policy they employ are not veteran friendly, federal, state and county levels.

Bad Treatment

I am not getting any help. I have five open accounts on my credit report costing me outrageous interest on car and personal loan. I was sent to er from va and they refuse to pay I would have refused help if I knew this plus I have not seen a psychologist for over a year since transferring to Altoona VA from Lebanon. Bad treatment across the board no help for this vet.
