What are some tips to win compensation
for Mild Depressive Disorder and PTSD?
A1: In order
to win, it is simple, you must prove the condition started while in the military or was caused by an event from your military
history. Additionally, you must have a current diagnosis. Finally, you need to be able to tie the two things together.
Piece of cake. (RJ) 7/19/2016
A2:
There are no tips, but you need to be diagnoses for each disorder by a Psychologist or Psychiatrist and either of the two
must stated you have these problems as a result of military service. (PW) 7/19/2016
A3: In order to receive compensation for PTSD, you have to have a diagnosis
by an M.D Doctor who practices Psychology and can certify that your condition is Chronic. Chronic is the key word. When you
get this certification, then go to your local State VA Representative and file a claim. (MS) 7/19/2016
A4: 1st the VA should diagnosis you.
Also do the programs there. Note contact or outburst that involve hospitalization or police contact. If in military paperwork
ant thing concerning mental ex. Depression moody SSD if psych rating is low enough would help. Plus a damn good rep. And last
and most important where you do your exam. (MW) 7/19/2016
A5:
Depression/dysthymia is a DSM V diagnosis which can also be service connected. PTSD is in the same category as Anxiety and
Depression. If you were treated or saw a psychiatrist while on active duty that is a help. Next is to make sure
that you have a current diagnosis and that there is a "NEXUS" to your military service. Without being able
to show that your current diagnosis is more likely than not related to your military service you most likely will not get
service connection. Again, Depression is not PTSD. For PTSD you need to show a stressor that put you in fear of
your life in a combat type situation. If you are claiming PTSD due to a personal Assault you need to complete a 21-0789a.
